The Stars of Fire and Ice: Dance for Orion

Dutch ceramist Hans van Bentem created the idea of 'Dance for Orion'. The show started with a rush of junior ice hockey players waving their banners. Soon the young girls of the figure skating group Ice Illusions chased away the ice-hockey juniors, after which they performed their own skating number, using also torches.

Although the twilight was dark music, moving figures and sounds of skates created a memorable feeling.

After the skaters went off, the stage itself started to live. Matchstick trees were fired. The heart, tower and scull were still waiting their turn.

After the fireworks the heart started to beat, the scull glowed and the tower fired up.
